Bendtner Seals Victory
Saturday, April 3rd, 2010 | Uncategorized | No Comments
I’m happy Arsenal are finding ways to win, but I’m concerned that they complicate things in front of goal. It’s clear they have loads of chances, yet seem to put away a fraction. Bendtner is beginning to score goals, but against stiffer competition, goal chances will be few & far between. Arsenal can’t afford to have 5-6 sitters & not capitalize. Despite our goal difference, Arsenal don’t finish off teams. They have a great chance this year, but they cannot win the league without help from other teams. Arsenal were mauled home & away against the big two, thus, my expectations were dramatically reduced. They just don’t seem to match up well against Chelsea & Manchester United. When you see the performances Joleon Lescott (Manchester City) put in against Drogba, it makes you realize what Arsenal are lacking & how opponents will continue to take advantage. Maybe Sol Campbell’s experience & physical presence can make up for it.

McLaren MP4-12C
Thursday, April 1st, 2010 | Uncategorized | No Comments
McLaren have a stellar reputation. I was unaware that they have formerly departed from the Mercedes umbrella. The partnership worked well, although, having the luxury of marketing and selling your own cars has it’s benefits, and will supply direct revenue for future endeavours. I must say that I do like the look of the MP4-12C. It will be interesting to read future expert reviews and how it compares to the Ferrari 458.
England’s World Cup 2010 Player Selection
Thursday, April 1st, 2010 | Uncategorized | No Comments
I enjoyed reading this article. I feel that Theo really needs to have a lengthy spell of games and play at a consistently high level to merit an England call up. His development has not been as fast as many would have expected, but that doesn’t end all hope. He certainly has the ability, talent, and speed. As far as Lescott, I believe he is exactly the type of player that England need. He is versatile, strong on the ball, and has years of experience. I remember him giving Drogba fits when Man City played Chelsea. Regarding, Sol Campbell, I have a lot of admiration for him. As the article points out, he didn’t even know himself if his playing career was over after Notts County, but he has responded fantastically well for Arsenal. For me, he does the simple things that many defenders forget about. He gets in the right position, knows how to kick and head the ball well, and stays back, holding the line. His experience at top level football should place him in a strong position for an England place. Joe Cole is in a similar position to Owen Hargreaves. Both have had extensive success at international level, but have had a string of injuries. They are not back to their top form, but having the knowledge that they can perform well at the highest football stage, will undoubtedly play a role in Capello’s decision making. Again, these two players need games fast, and need to showcase their talent.

Arsenal F.C. 2009-10
Friday, March 19th, 2010 | Uncategorized | No Comments
Arsenal has been playing well as of recent. They have been leaving it late to put away teams (i.e., Hull City), but they have been slowly getting players back from injury. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea being knocked out of the Champions League has an effect on the Premier League race. They have the largest, most complete squad in the Premier League, and now with fewer games to play, can ensure that their players are rested and prepared. Arsenal’s remaining Premier League schedule is not easy, as they still have to play Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur (teams that could cause them to drop points), but it will certainly allow for an interesting wrap up to the season.
Samir Nasri - Goal against Porto
Friday, March 19th, 2010 | Uncategorized | No Comments
When Samir Nasri first signed for Arsenal, I was so excited, because I’ve watched the videos of him when he was at Marseille and he was awesome. He has great technical ability! I am not sure why he hasn’t been able to manoeuvre the ball and go on attacking drives consistently at Arsenal. It maybe because he is playing more wide and doesn’t always get the ball. I hope he gets back to the old times and maintains that bravery in taking on players, because it’s clear that he has the ability.
